Today the world is facing emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic that caused viral pneumonia and ultimately resulting to death cases in huge numbers. From the time the novel coronavirus was reported in early January until the moment it was declared by World Health Organization (WHO) as a pandemic. COVID-19 has dramatically affected the education sector, many educational institutions to close temporarily. More than 770 million learners worldwide are now being affected by school and university closures, according to the United Nations.
In this regard, SEAMEO responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by holding a webinar series, one of them is Learning Continues: Making Distance Learning, Open Education Resources and Online Resources Matter during COVID -19 Period / 30 April 2020 / 10 AM (Bangkok Time). This webinar is filled by speakers, one of whom is Dr. Steven McKee who is also president of Worlddidac and President and Founder of Labtech International Ltd.
