PT Labtech Penta International recently took part in the SMK Batam Benchmarking event, organized by Indonesia’s Directorate of Vocational High Schools (Direktorat SMK) under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education. The event brought together 131 principals and vice principals from vocational schools across Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Batam for a firsthand look at industry’s evolving skill needs.

Our Virtual Learning Manager, Ferry, shared his support for initiatives like the Field Work Practice program, which gives students valuable hands-on experience directly within industry environments — a critical bridge between classroom learning and real-world readiness.

At Labtech, we believe digital transformation in education, including the use of Interactive Digital Boards and digital-based simulators, plays a key role in expanding access and accelerating skills development for vocational students, helping better align their training with the demands of the workforce.
